Choices are endless when it comes to choosing a hotel while spending your holidays in Dubai depending on what you like to be surrounded with and enjoy. Hotels in Dubai mostly fit into 3 main groups:

1- Downtown Hotels: If you like to be in the middle of the action and don’t mind the noise, then you should choose a hotel in the downtown area, enjoy the old bazaars, late hours shopping, lots of traffic, and seeing both old and new Dubai in one place. Downtown hotels vary from a “no star” rating to five stars, but I would recommend you stick to the 4 and 5 star hotels if you can afford them!

2- Beach Hotels: If you enjoy water sports, love sun and white sandy beaches, then Dubai is has a lot to offer, most beach hotels are a bit outside of the city and tend to be more quite and better rated. Most beach hotels are rated 5 stars (well there is one that is rated 7 stars - Burj Al Arab).

3- Business Hotels: Those are mostly 4 and 5 star hotels and offer a mix of downtown living as well as easy access to modern Dubai. Those hotels are mostly located around Dubai World Trade Center which hosts a number of regional events and exhibitions between year round and Business Bay area, home of Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest building. Business Hotels are also close to modern shopping centers and malls like Mall of the Emirates.

This modern city is built to beat the heat and attract tourists and vacationers 365 days a year, take for example Mall of the Emirates, one of the largest malls in the world that happens to have the largest indoor ski slope called “Ski Dubai” that operates year round … while having spending your holidays in Dubai, you could be enjoying the beach in the morning, skiing in the afternoon, then shop till you literally drop in the evening! Did I mention white beaches and blue waters? Plenty of water sports from swimming to jet skiing, wind surfing, snorkeling, diving, deep sea fishing and kayaking. There are also a number of water parks that operate year round and offer fun for everyone like “Wild Wadi” and “Aqua Park”
