Best time to visit Dubai
Be aware of the weather in Dubai and plan accordingly, in my opinion the best time to visit is between November and March if you could but keep in mind hotels are most expensive during this time of the year. If you are looking for better hotel room rates, then summer months are the least busy and therefore you will be able to find better hotel deals.

Flights to Dubai
Dubai Airport is the central hub of the Middle East and Gulf region, it is one of the busiest airports in the world (Dubai airline city code is DXB). It is fairly easy to find direct or easy connect flights from almost anywhere in the world. Emirates is based out of Dubai and has direct flights to Europe, North America, and Australia. Emirates is one of the world’s best award winning airlines and has many hotel and car rental affiliates. While many passport holders are granted entry visa at the airport in Dubai, this does not (=NOT=) apply to everybody, so you should always check visa requirements for citizens of your country.

If you are familiar with the fast changing city, then Dubai car rental would be great! If not, then taxis are available on call and everywhere around Dubai streets which is your best choice to move around until the Dubai Metro is ready.

Communications
Dubai is an international city, in addition to being a tourist destination, Dubai is home to people from over 200 countries, therefore English is widely spoken. Street signs, directions, maps, and other publications are available in English as well as few available in other languages.

1- Downtown Hotels: If you like to be in the middle of the action and don’t mind the noise, then you should choose a hotel in the downtown area, enjoy the old bazaars, late hours shopping, lots of traffic, and seeing both old and new Dubai in one place. Downtown hotels vary from a “no star” rating to five stars, but I would recommend you stick to the 4 and 5 star hotels if you can afford them!

2- Beach Hotels: If you enjoy water sports, love sun and white sandy beaches, then Dubai is has a lot to offer, most beach hotels are a bit outside of the city and tend to be more quite and better rated. Most beach hotels are rated 5 stars (well there is one that is rated 7 stars - Burj Al Arab).

3- Business Hotels: Those are mostly 4 and 5 star hotels and offer a mix of downtown living as well as easy access to modern Dubai. Those hotels are mostly located around Dubai World Trade Center which hosts a number of regional events and exhibitions between year round and Business Bay area, home of Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest building. Business Hotels are also close to modern shopping centers and malls like Mall of the Emirates.

Burj Dubai is not the only building you would want to see in Dubai, there are many others like the world’s only seven star hotel “Burj Al Arab” shaped like a billowing ship sail, Hydropolis, an underwater luxury hotel, the world’s largest shopping malls like Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Mall, the largest indoors ski slope “Ski Dubai” and not to mention the number of man made islands that have their own set of architectures like The World, WaterFront and The Palm.
